Notarized/Certified Document
-
How can I tell if my documents have already been notarized or certified?
The stamp or seal contains the words "Notary Public" or "Commissioner of Oath".
-
Do all documents need to be notarized?
Yes. Photocopies of notarized documents are acceptable.
-
Who are acceptable people to notarize and translate my documents?
A Notary Public is the only notary authorized by CEHPEA to notarize your documents. Some lawyers are also Notary Publics, and many travel agents employ notaries who can perform this function at low and reasonable costs. CEHPEA will also accept documents certified only by a Commissioner of Oath. Please Note: A stamp from a priest or minister is not acceptable.
-
Do translations need to be notarized or just originals?
Any documentation not in English that requires a Notary stamp/seal must be translated and notarized as a true translation.
-
MCCQE2, Medical Licenses, and Certificates are not a basic eligibility requirement; therefore do I need to notarize these documents if I submit them.
Yes. If you wish these documents to be considered in your portfolio they require the stamp/seal to ensure they are true copies of the original.
