  • Can I submit an expired TSE-P or TOEFL?

    Candidates can submit an expired TSE-P or TOEFL providing the passing score is a notarized copy or original. The score is valid for a 3-year period.

  • Can my transcripts be used as an exemption of TSE-P and TOEFL?

    No. Transcripts cannot be used as an exemption for TSE-P and TOEFL.

  • Do I need to pass TSE-P and TOEFL, or can I just pass one of the two?

    CEHPEA requires that all candidates who wish to be considered for the 2010/11 assessment process have passed both TSE-P and TOEFL or meet the criteria for one of the exemption forms outlined in the Language Proficiency section of Basic Eligibility Requirements.

  • Can I be exempt from TSE-P and TOEFL if I have studied at a University in Canada?

    No. The only exemptions to TSE and TOEFL are forms outlined in the Language Proficiency section of Basic Eligibility Requirements. No other exemptions are offered through CEHPEA.

  • All of my medical school language of instruction was conducted in English, but patient care was not? Do I have to take TSE and TOEFL?

    Yes. If the patient care was not conducted in English, applicants must take TSE and TOEFL.
