What type of postgraduate medical education is accepted?
Postgraduate medical education that is acceptable to CEHPEA is defined as a period of clinical training undertaken in a supervised educational setting after the completion of an undergraduate medical degree. Intern, resident and house officer are terms commonly used to describe such postgraduate students. In some international jurisdictions an internship or a residency period is included as part of the undergraduate program. Please note that educational periods undertaken as an Observer or as a Research Fellow are not considered postgraduate education.
