Note:
In order to be considered eligible for the PGY2 assessment, candidates should have completed at least one year of postgraduate education in the specialty to which they are applying - e.g. a candidate who wishes to be considered in Psychiatry should have at least 1 year of postgraduate education in Psychiatry. Practice Ready Assessment (PRA) applicants must have been in independent practice within the last 5 years. If a specialty stream candidate wishes to be considered for all possible levels, i.e. PGY1, PGY2 and Practice Ready Assessment, s/he must complete the MCCEE, the MCCQE - Part 1 and the Specialty Specific Written Examination (SWE). Therefore: If a specialty stream candidate does not complete the Specialty Specific Written Examination (SWE) s/he will not be considered for the PGY2 or Practice Ready Assessment levels.
