CE2 Specialty Clinical Examination
“Physicians have a lot of different roles, including management, scholarship, collaboration and communication. When we assess potential physicians we look at their educational background and the results of written examinations. But we also need practical exams to assess their clinical skills. We are not just interested in what they do, but also, how they do it..”

Specialty Specific Clinical Examinations (CE2) are a series of specialty specific examinations designed to test a candidate's appropriateness for the PGY2 or Practice Ready Assessment levels in a specialty stream.
Important Policy Updates
CE2 Score Reports
The Clinical Examination (CE2) score reports will remain valid for a three year period. This applies to all the Certificates of Assessment from the 2009-2010 application cycle.
Candidates planning on using a prior year's Certificate of Assessment for a specialty application (SWE or CE2), must apply on-line and pay the application fee to be considered for a position.
All candidates applying for specialty assessment at the PGY2 and/or PRA level will be invited to both the SWE and CE2 examinations.
It is mandatory to pass both the written and clinical examinations in order to be eligible for a PGY2 or PRA position.
