PGY2+/PRA Advanced Level Specialty Assessments for 2010-2011
CEHPEA is pleased to announce that it will be offering assessments for specific specialties at the Practice Ready Assessment (PRA) level and at the PGY2 Entry level. We have been informed by the postgraduate deans of the Ontario medical schools that there are an extremely limited number of positions at these two levels in the specialties listed below. It must be noted that success in the assessments is not a guarantee of a position. Also, if an assessment does not have sufficient registration it may be cancelled.
The application deadline for all specialty assessments is Wednesday, June 30, 2010. Please check back to the website for examination dates, but note that the assessments will take place between August and December 2010.
Specialties in which assessments may be offered:
> Anesthesia (CE1 mandatory) - PGY2 Entry Level & PRA Level
> Dermatology - PRA Level only
> General Surgery - PRA Level only
> Obstetrics/Gynecology (CE1 mandatory) - PGY2 Entry Level only
> Orthopedic Surgery - PRA Level only
> Ophthalmology - (ICO Examination mandatory - Pass required on both Basic and Clinical Science Examinations) - PRA Level only
> Internal Medicine - PGY2 Entry Level & PRA Level
> Pediatrics - PRA Level only
> Psychiatry (CE1 mandatory) - PGY2 Entry Level & PRA Level
**If an assessment is cancelled due to insufficient registration, those candidates who have registered will be given a refund in full for their submitted application.
